Manly have signed sacked Sydney Roosters youngster Willis Meehan, with the 20-year-old set to play reserve grade for the Sea Eagles this weekend.

Meehan, who made his NRL debut for the Roosters in 2014, was dumped by the club last July over an assault charge.

However he has been named by the Sea Eagles to wear No.17 for this weekend's NSW Cup clash with the Warriors, earmarking a return to the sport.
