Much of my interest in the 4 Nations series revolves around the battle between Foran and Cherry-Evans.
Arguably the best halves pairing in the NRL, these Manly team mates will line up against each other in their respective number 6 jumpers throughout this series.
With Foran playing on the left side for Manly, and Cherry-Evans on the right, there is a good chance they will be marking each other on the same side of the field in this test, and both will be looking to get the points over the other.
Their contrasting styles alone make this an exciting battle. Foran is the more direct and rugged style of half, whilst Cherry-Evans is the more adlib and fancy of the play-makers.
They complement each other beautifully on the field at Manly, and both complement their own test half pairings for this game. Foran has the dangerous Johnson as his halves pairing for the Kiwis, a player capable of anything but not the most structured. In contrast, Cherry-Evans has the most structured halfback in the game in Cronk paring up with him.
Being an Aussie, I am hoping Cherry-Evans comes out on top, but hoping that Foran (and Hiku) have a strong game for the Kiwis.
I am predicting the Kangaroos to win a tight but high scoring game 26-20.
Who do you think will win this battle?
